Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO) is a movement that ignites women leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to initiate startups, drive economic expansion, and advance communities worldwide. WEDO is celebrated at the United Nations and in 144 countries and 65 universities/colleges internationally.
Our Mission is to:
EDUCATE the public on the importance women play in the business world and inspire girls and women all over the world to find opportunity and achieve success in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math).
EMPOWER the 4 billion women across the globe with the resources to be catalysts of change and uplift the 250 million girls living in poverty globally.
CELEBRATE women in business and trailblazers who have demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation.
SUPPORT women by convening business and government leaders to find solutions for the issues women face in business and technology.
WEDO was established in Canada in 2019 and we are ready to execute on our strategy to grow from an Alberta presence to across Canada. We plan to engage National partners to fund scholarships and awards for students and to cover WEDO Canada operating costs. We also require to select schools with entrepreneurial programs to partner with, and whose students will be the recipients of the scholarships and grants. We will also identify other foundations and not for profit organizations with shared values to collaborate with WEDO Canada.
Thank you for your support!
